How to send an anonymous text message (SMS)
If you want to send a text without exposing your personal phone number, you need a relay. Bad News delivers your message from a relay number and routes replies back to you privately.
Steps
- Go to Messages and select Text (SMS).
- Enter the recipient’s phone number and write your message.
- Choose whether to sign it with a name or send as Anonymous.
- Send. The recipient receives it from a relay number.
- Read their reply in Notifications.
Use it responsibly
Anonymous messaging can be useful for sensitive feedback, but it can also be misused. Don’t harass people or send threats. If you receive abusive messages, use Report Abuse.
